The Shield with Purpose™ Programme exists to recognise individuals across grassroots football whose character, resilience, or commitment deserves acknowledgement — whether on the pitch, in the community, or quietly behind the scenes.

This is not a competition.

It isn’t a giveaway.

And it isn’t about attention.

Instead, we invite coaches, parents, teammates, and community members to put forward someone they believe truly deserves recognition — not for results alone, but for who they are and what they represent.

Every four weeks, the XCORE panel reviews all submissions and selects one individual to receive a complimentary XCORE NEXT LEVEL Shin Shield, finished in the XCORE Lab and delivered with our compliments.

Recognition is given carefully.

Quietly.

And with intent.

Who This Is For

You may wish to nominate:

  A player who continues to show up through adversity, injury, or personal challenge
  
• 
  Someone who leads by example without seeking recognition
  
• 
  A young person who demonstrates resilience, discipline, or kindness beyond expectation

  A volunteer, coach, or supporter who gives more than they take
  

If someone has made a genuine difference — even when no one was watching — they belong here.

How the Programme Works

  Submissions are made by individuals nominating someone else
  
• 
  Nominations are reviewed by the XCORE panel every four weeks
  
• 
  One recipient is selected based on merit and intent — not popularity
  
• 
  The selected individual is contacted privately
  
• 
  Their Shin Shield is created and delivered with our compliments
  

There are no public votes.

No announcements unless agreed.

And no obligation placed on the recipient.
